Electric Litany have released the official video for their new single “Reciprocate”, giving fans a first taste of their upcoming fourth album, Desires. The song mixes emotional depth with experimental alt-pop sounds and marks a bold step forward for the band.
A Visual Collaboration with Denise Moreno
The band worked with Spanish director Denise Moreno for the video. The visuals bring the song’s themes of love, resilience, and truth to life. Miaris explains, “Only love can save your heart, and sometimes that’s enough.”
Dreamy, Atmospheric Sound
“Reciprocate” blends influences from The Cure, Radiohead, and Foals. It features Persian santoor, modular synths, synth bass, and subtle percussion, creating a layered and immersive soundscape. Miaris’s falsetto adds emotional intensity, making the track both tender and bold.
In addition, the song balances experimental textures with melodic accessibility. Fans hear a mix of dream-pop softness and adventurous production that pushes alternative pop into new territory.
Building Anticipation for Desires
The single follows “Diamonds”, and both tracks appear on Desires. The album reflects over fifteen years of musical exploration. It explores authenticity in a world where perception blurs with reality.
Tracks like “Itor” use distortion to create tension, while “Prism” highlights the band’s musicianship through simplicity. Richard Simic’s drumming and Jason Tsontilis’s synths expand the sonic landscape. Meanwhile, Miaris’s vocals and piano bring emotional depth, connecting listeners directly to the songs.
Recorded Between London and Athens
The band recorded the album at Fish Factory Studios in London, with extra sessions at Caledonian Road Studios, Dada Studios, and Byron Studios in Athens. George Botis and Alexandros Miaris handled production and mixing, resulting in a polished and dynamic sound.
Desires is set for release October 17, 2025, via Flying Hearts.
