Clíodhna Ní Aodáin will release For the Love of Trees on August 14, 2026, through Curve Blue. Issued under catalog number CB2450 with UPC 676767245024, the album is categorized as New Age, Meditative and Celtic music.

The seven-track recording grows out of Ní Aodáin’s long-standing connection with trees and their quiet presence. For this project, she brought her cello into forests, sat beneath individual trees and allowed each encounter to guide the music. She would sing, find the melody on the cello and enter into what she describes as a spontaneous musical dialogue.

The album includes “Linden Tree,” “Rowan Tree,” “Lament for the Trees,” “Fairie Tree,” “Forest Moon,” “Redwood” and the title track, “For the Love of Trees.” The focus track, “Linden Tree,” runs 2 minutes and 23 seconds and is described as a spacious sonic landscape inspired by the calm strength and gentle wisdom of the Linden tree.

Recorded in Boulder, Colorado on the cello of Grammy Award-winning cellist David Darling, the project was produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Mickey Houlihan. Blending cello improvisations, voice, piano, atmospheric soundscapes and subtle field recordings, For the Love of Trees invites listeners to slow down and reconnect with the living earth.
