Merv hasn’t always lived a rockstar lifestyle, growing up in New Zealand’s North Island and becoming a dairy farmer. His love for music began when his brother gifted him a $10 guitar when he was 10 years old.
Showing that he’s just as amazing as all those he wants to thank, Merv proved that he can battle anything after fighting through being hit by a truck, even after doctors thought he would never walk again.
As if that wasn’t enough, shortly after he also survived a motorcycle accident that left him with a broken back. Nevertheless, Merv rose again, deciding to leave his life as a farmer behind and devote his life to music.
Each of Merv’s tracks have a unique aim, campaigning for social justice and raising awareness of important global issues. His previous track OB (can you hear the children cry) became a viral hit with over 13 million views across platforms, with all the proceeds being donated to charity. He’s since written tracks about the perils of war, terrorism and the refugee crisis, and he’s now completing his aim to unite the global community with his new single, ‘Amazing’.
