Like many who used the first lockdown to learn a new skill or focus on side projects, Telford-based Four Crooks spent their time in a remote farmhouse writing their new EP which is now ready to be released to the world.

‘Black Magic’ features the unforgiving beats of Royal Blood blended with Artic Monkeys esque vocals to create their own take on indie-rock, perfect for those looking for an addictive indie fix to get them through the second lockdown.

Made up of Dave Morris (vocals/guitar); Eamonn Russell (guitar); Toby Barnett (bass) and Dan Quinton-Jones (drums), the group first formed when Eamonn met Dave after being kicked out of a bar following a disagreement with the manager over payment for a gig.

After helping him to carry his kit home, the two quickly hit it off due to their common love for music and have since never looked back, enlisting fellow band members and channeling their experiences with metal health and relationship battles.

Laying all of their emotions into their new EP, ‘Black Magic’ follows the journey of battling your way out of a difficult relationship with your head held high.
