Serato Studio and Splice have joined forces to offer DJs and producers a unique opportunity, creating a competition pinning music makers around the globe against each other in a traditional, Mortal Kombat style, fight to the death (and for $20,000).
By downloading Splice’s ‘BeatFighter’ sound pack, users will be treated with a variety of samples to help them make a one minute beat in Serato Studio’s free beat making software.
Take a screen recording of your beat and upload to instagram, tag @Seratostudio and @Splice and use the #SeratoBeatFighter to enter yourself into the competition and get a shot at the $20,000 final prize.
With voters deciding who progresses into the next round, you could even find yourself winning $4,000 for second place and $1,000 for third. The winner will also be chosen by a secret guest judge.
