Brite Spires’ new upcoming single is an amalgamation of pop instrumentals, dainty synth, trap builds and angelically monotone vocals which evoke a bittersweet feeling of melodic sadness.
‘Crystalize’ – set to be released on streaming platforms February 26th – is a beautifully melancholic effort from the London four-piece who have undeniably garnered an established, varied sound despite being relatively new to the scene.
The track’s narrative tells the story of the lover that no longer notices, an unsurprising theme when considering the rather subdued, disinterested initial singing style that expresses the feeling of longing and regret. Though, singer Bella Glanville wastes no time in dispelling her limited ability, breaking into new octaves in the chorus and middle eighth of the track, where she unveils a subtly serene, gorgeous vocal performance.
“Brite Spires are a bold, unique and sophisticated pop vision”
Robin Murray, CLASH Magazine
From start to finish the track is enveloped in a neo noir, cinematic aura, with heavy synth use that acts as the glue which sticks the single together, aptly complimenting Glanville’s singing style to a tee. The bassy beat and quick-fire EDM components platforms the tune as a hybrid dance track that still very much works.
With Glanville being a model, actress and now a compelling frontman, she has all the necessary confidence to excel in her albeit unique genre; it seems her under-the-radar rivals have their work cut out for them, Brite Spires’ ‘Crystalize’ is a well crafted, infectious electro-pop anthem.
